In 2014 I went on my first camping trip (I promise I will do a camping packing post for round two) and now in 2015 I spent a lovely weekend at a beautiful cabin in the woods with several of our friends to celebrate a birthday. You know me and the minute we booked the cabin, I started planning my outfits! It's the details that excite me :)

- Thermal Long Sleeve Black Shirt
- Athleta Polartec Leggings

When I go away for 7+ days I typically take 3 toiletry bags, one with makeup, one with skincare/shower products and one with hair products/brushes but since this was a low key weekend, I edited my beauty products down and this is what makeup I took along with me.
We didn't luck out weather wise as it was cold and mostly rainy the entire weekend but since the house was so massive and I must say we are a fun bunch, we stayed busy with games, cooking, drinking and maybe a little hot tub action. I knew the weather was going to be bad ahead of time so that did influence my cabin attire.
Here's a few more photos of inside our cabin... I can't believe I didn't take an outdoor photo but to be honest, I didn't go outside much the whole weekend.
We stayed in this bedroom upstairs with the game room separating the upstairs bedrooms. I chose the 2nd to smallest room because I felt it was the coziest and most romantic not to mention from the big window above the bed it looked out to a field of trees making it feel like a tree house.
If you are in or around Austin and want a quiet place to go, I strongly recommend these cabins. We stayed in the Flying V which was a 4 bedroom/3 bath with a private pool, hot tub, gourmet kitchen located in Burnet, about an hour outside of the city. It a unique community of log cabin rentals and homes. Ours was fully stocked with kitchen supplies, towels and toiletries like a hotel provides. Since they are all privately owned, your experience might be a little different but the cleanliness of our house, inside and out is what made me commit to a second trip! You definitely feel like you're all alone out there and you hardly see anyone outside of your group. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up planning a return trip this summer on the very first night!
