The ONLY Mascara You'll Ever Need!

I'm a firm believer that drugstore mascara is just as good as luxury brands and if you have one you love at Target, stick with it but if you buy high end mascara but you don't love it... this post is for you!

If you've been with me for a while you know I have raved about this mascara for years and so many of you have bought it because of that and love it too! When I was thinking about writing this post I thought about comparing it to all the mascaras I've tried but then I decided just to tell you which ones I've tried and why, in my opinion, Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes ($23) is superior.

Here's what I love about it:

1. It lengthens, separates AND adds volume without getting clumpy thanks to the short stiff bristles.

2. It washes off completely with micellar water. That's one of my biggest pet peeves, I LOVE mascara and use it even on my days off BUT when I want it off, I WANT IT OFF! And I want it off without ruining my hand towels or waking up with it on my Slip pillowcase.

3. It NEVER runs or smears and it stays pretty well if I get teary.

4. The brush is the perfect size! It's small enough that I can get right at the base of my lashes so I can do my Stick and Shimmy method without getting mascara everywhere but it's big enough that I can do my lashes, top and bottom in one easy pass.

You might be asking 'if you love LCL so much, why do you try anything else?' Because I'm a girl and like you, even when I love a product, periodically I think there must be something out there that's better, so I dabble and always come back to Lights, Camera, Lashes for 10 years. When I started buying it, one of the best selling points was that it was only $18 then it went to $21 and now it's $23 which still is pretty reasonable compared to other luxury brands. The only thing I would change is the packaging. Tarte has changed the shade of purple several times and even made limited editions but I think after a decade of using it, I've gotten used to it and last year they changed it to a glittery finish so that makes everything better.
